The firm has a broad range of private and public sector clients, operating both in the UK and overseas and in addition to the design, monitoring of construction and commission of Building Services, ZBP offers a wide range of advice regarding Energy Efficiency, Low Carbon alternatives, opportunities for Carbon Offsetting and where appropriate the use of Renewable Technologies. Senior ZBP staff are members of the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants Register.

The firms 'building physics' team can analyse both new build and existing portfolios, and couple this analysis with design and thermal simulation skills, to evaluate a building's energy performance. Once established, cost effective proposals for improvement can be discussed.
The practice has a total strength approaching 70, located in Richmond. The firm operates a Quality Assurance Management System accredited to BS EN ISO 9001, which now links procedures to processes within a fully interactive Process Information Management System (PIMS).

ZBP are committed to research and development, this being strengthened by close links with external bodies such as BSRIA, CIBSE and IAI. As a founder member of the Teamwork initiative ZBP are putting “learning by doing” into practice.
